...Oops we forgot our silks.

... why are our poses better than theirs?????

...that's my dawg!
This weekend someone very wise told me that they did not see age when they chilled with me. Friendship and connection comes on so many levels and does not see boundaries such as years. I think day to day life and being surrounded by people the same age as you places a limit on the ability to connect with others. I am so fortunate to have found a forum to be around the most amazing people from all different backgrounds, of all difeerent experiences and of all different ages. What is this forum you ask? It is wushu! Wushu and O-Mei have allowed me to develop super relationships. I can't even begin to describe in words or for that matter, name all of the amazing people I have come to know and love and admire. So many things I have learned personally, physically, emotionally, spiritually. In the short time of one year, I have been given more than one can ask for. Weekly, I am schooled by an 11 year old superstar, a 16 year old omniscient soldier and a 21 year old (almost 22) amazingly grounded woman. Then there are the men,the energetic B, the tireless S, the ever patient C, and the sensitive warrior J. Then the women, the determined D, the maternal J S, the carefree J Z. What an amazing group. Qualities in others anyone is lucky to be surrounded by and I get them all!!! .
You are my family!!!!!! Do you know how you help me to make it thru this life and I miss you when I am away? Thank you for all the love, tears, sweat, fights, and those moments where we share. | | |
| "When you win, you don't examine it very much, except to congratulate yourself. You can easily, and wrongly, assume it has something to do with your rare qualities as a person. But winning only measures how hard you worked and how physically talented you are; IT DOESN'T PARTICULARLY DEFINE YOU BEYOND THOSE CHARACTERISTICS."
--Lance Armstrong (Tour de France winner and cancer survivor)
To win is an amazing experience, that is a given. It does not however represent who you are and what you have. Remember how wonderful you are and all of the wonderful things you have. Remember the richness of your life and the experiences you are given. Measure yourself by the people who love and support you. All of these things define what and who you are. Never lose yourself.
